Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your MyPiggy account and associated data, schedule family deletion in the app, or contact us to request expedited deletion.

Request account deletion or expedited deletion

Use our website contact form. You do not need to install MyPiggy or sign in to submit a request.

Open the deletion request contact form
  1. Enter your name and the email address associated with your MyPiggy account. If you use Google sign-in, use that Google account’s email address.
  2. Select Account or privacy question as the topic.
  3. Write Account and data deletion request or Expedited family deletion request at the start of your message. Include your family code if available, and explain whether you want to delete your own account, a child’s profile, or the entire family.

You can also email contact@mypiggyapp.com with the same information.

Suggested message: I am requesting deletion of my MyPiggy account and associated data. Account email: [your sign-in email] Family code, if available: [family code] Scope: [my account / child profile / entire family] I would like expedited deletion: [yes / no]

Do not send passwords, child PINs, payment card details, or unnecessary personal information about a child.

We may need to verify your identity and authority to make the request. We will confirm the deletion scope, any required steps, and the expected completion timing. Requesting expedited deletion does not mean deletion happens immediately.

Schedule family deletion in the app

The Family Organizer can start this process:

  1. Sign in to MyPiggy as the Family Organizer.
  2. Open Manage Family.
  3. Select Delete Family and follow the confirmation instructions.

The family becomes inactive and enters a 30-day recovery period. Family members can still sign in and view existing information in read-only mode, but cannot change family activity. The Organizer can use Reactivate Family before the deletion deadline shown in the app.

After the recovery deadline, the family becomes eligible for permanent deletion through our scheduled cleanup. Once permanently deleted, the family’s information cannot be restored through the app.

Family deletion and account deletion are different. Deleting a family does not automatically delete adult sign-in accounts. To delete your adult MyPiggy account and its associated data, submit the account deletion request above. Deleting your MyPiggy account does not delete your Google account.

Inactive accounts & grace periods

A subscription grace period is separate from the family deletion recovery period.

If the app shows a subscription grace period, family access continues until the grace deadline shown in the app. After access expires, the family can move to read-only status. Follow the app’s billing instructions to restore access.

Being inactive, uninstalling the app, or allowing a subscription to expire is not a request to delete your adult sign-in account. Check any recovery or deletion deadline shown in the app, or contact us to request deletion.

Subscriptions & billing

Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions. A deletion request does not by itself cancel a subscription or request a refund.

For Google Play subscriptions, open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MyPiggy to manage cancellation.

For subscriptions purchased on the web, use the app’s billing management option or contact us for help. Let us know about any active subscription when requesting deletion so we can explain the required billing steps.

What information is deleted or retained?

Permanent family deletion removes the family’s operational records, including family memberships, child profiles, chores, savings goals, money activity, invitations, and subscription access records associated with that family. Child sign-in identities are handled through a separate cleanup process.

For a verified adult account deletion request, the requested scope includes your MyPiggy sign-in account and associated personal information. Shared family information and records belonging to other family members require separate consideration; deleting your own account does not authorize deletion of someone else’s account.

Limited billing, audit, security, dispute, or backup records may be retained where needed for legal or accounting obligations, security, or completing deletion. These may remain beyond the family’s 30-day recovery period. Contact us for the applicable retention details for your request. Read our Privacy Notice for more information.

Guardians and children

A Guardian can request deletion of their own account through the contact form without using the Organizer’s Delete Family option. A parent or legal guardian can contact us to request deletion of a child’s information; we may verify their relationship to the child.
